Rotary Auction in Yugoslavia is related to the 1927th year and the activities of Dr. Vojislav Kujundzic, Belgrade doctor, who had a good business and friendly relations with Czechoslovakia Rotarians.

In late August, the 1927th Rotarian M. Svoboda, a member of HC Plzen, she will visit Belgrade and in front of a large audience about the Rotary movement, and later, in September the 1928th , the District Governor, Joseph Schultz, visited Belgrade to attend the meeting of the Organizing Committee of the future of Rotary Club of Belgrade, which was held at the Serbian king 13th September 1928th year. The following are important dates in the history of the Club on 14 oktobar 1928. , when the regular meeting of all members made a decision on the establishment and 4 mart 1929th when the club applied for membership in Rotary International. Roster list of members of Rotary Club of Belgrade counted 25 people, and board members of the Club were: Dr. Ferdinand Granberg - President, Vojislav Kujundzic - Vice President, Joseph Hrnčir - Secretary, Gojko Đermanović - Treasurer Steve Cohen - ceremonies, Adolf Minh and Janko Schumann. Charter RI presidents, Ferdinand Granberg and Jozo Mikulicic, Schulz gave the Governor and the act of department store and RK Zagreb was officially admitted to Rotary International.

Rotary is expanding rapidly and is already 12th October 1929th formed the club in Osijek, 16 November 1929th in Novi Sad, 24 May 1930th in Subotica and 7 septembra 1930. in Susak. Then 15th and 16 November 1930th year there are two Charter of Maribor and Varazdin, 14 March 1931st Ljubljana, 20 March 1931st Sarajevo, 14 May 1931st in Split. 5. June 1931st in Pancevo and 30 May 1931st in Skopje. Decision of the Board of Directors on 9 RI November 1931st year, this 13th Yugoslav clubs established District 77 - Yugoslavia. The first District Governor was Edo Markovic from RK Zagreb. At a later stage, by the end of the 1940th year, the Rotary movement in Yugoslavia has a stable development, and the statistics recorded that in 1939/40 the new year Rotarian, District 77 had 34 clubs with 856 members. About Rotary ideas brought together a number of important figures from all fields of political, economic, cultural, scientific and artistic life of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Members of Rotary clubs were: Milan Stojadinovic, a longtime minister and prime minister, Francis Bajloni, the famous brewery owner, Ferdinand Granberg, co-owner of Sartid and mine Bor, Ivo Andric, writer, Ljuba Stojanovic, actor Michael Petrovic - Alas, the mathematician, the Government Teokarevic, industrialist, Brandon Vojinovic, head of the National Theatre, Dragutin story, admiral and commander of the Navy, Milan Radosavljevic, National Bank governor, Don Stošević, Education Minister Viktor Ruzicka Minister of Justice and many, many others.

As the approaching World War II Rotarians were active in all the onerous and sometimes difficult circumstances. In the years immediately preceding the war, with the penetration of fascism, in some parts of Europe, especially Germany, Austria and Italy, he feels hostility toward the movement. In such circumstances, the Rotary Club in Yugoslavia welcomed the 1939th year and the beginning of world conflict. A sense of powerlessness to change anything and to stop a war that is spreading inexorably, so that Rotary clubs begin to stagnate and slowly disappearing. In early March 1941. The eve of World War II in Yugoslavia all official activities of Rotary clubs are completely vanished.

After the Second World War in the countries of real socialism and Yugoslavia in the work of Rotary clubs was not renewed. It was not until nearly half a century later, in late 1989. years, beginning activities reosnivanju Rotary movement. The three-year effort and perseverance of a few enthusiasts in Belgrade, and above all Dragana Brajer etc. Peter Rakin, ended in success. Decision of the Board of Directors of Rotary International from 8 May 1992. years, restored the Rotary Club of Belgrade, which had 29 charter members. Some of them: John Sabol, Dr. Nikola Tasic, Dr. Dejan Cikara, Dragomir Acovic, Dusko Milovic, Ljubomir Andjelkovic and Ljubomir Hadzi-Djordjevic and today are Rotarians. Because of UN sanctions imposed on the FR of Yugoslavia, which came into force on 30 May 1992. years, to establish new clubs had to wait a couple of years. It was not until 24 February 1995. in Rotary International received the RK Beograd-Zemun and RK Novi Sad, in the first half of the 1996th The RK and RK Nis-Belgrade Lux. Then they set up centers in Valjevo, Leskovac, Kragujevac, Subotica, Kikinda and other cities in Serbia and now has 36 Rotary Clubs and several clubs in the establishment. Therefore, we believe that the Rotary Movement in Serbia has a future and that the fate of these clubs will be nicer than what they experienced Serbian Rotary pioneers.
